Running a cleanup process

When you run a cleanup, the Webroot software deletes items you specified in the cleanup settings (see Selecting cleanup items). You can also set the Webroot software to run automatic cleanups, as described in “Scheduling cleanups” on page 98.

To run a cleanup of your entire computer:

1.	Check the cleanup settings (see Selecting cleanup items).

2.	Do either of the following:

•	Click Cleanup Now from the Main panel.

•	Select Cleanup from the Icon panel, then click Start Cleanup.

The following example shows the Cleanup panel.

The Webroot software shows its progress in the panel.

3.	When the cleanup is complete, you can select View Detailed Log to see a list of all items removed from your computer.

4.	Select Hide this Message to remove the Cleanup status and re-display the Start Cleanup button.
